Re-introduction.

I have not been on the boards for about a year would check in once in a while.

In the fall of 2008 I was diagnosed with kidney cancer.

Dec 9 08 I went in for surgery and had a partial kidney removal done to remove the cancer.

The type of cancer was ( renal cell carcinoma ) So far all tests have come back neg.

I have another round of tests in may..

Took me about 5 months to recover from the surgery. had a tough time with running the business both boys stepped up pretty good and received a crash course..

we also continued to race both boats and also had a hard time with that, as the clubs president gave
us a hard time as i did not help out the club over the winter, real a**hole.. He was voted out this year.

Tony managed to finish second in class, even with missing 6 races, i sent the motor out to be
freshened up and they screwed someting up with the mains and tony wiped the engine out in about 30 seconds, so engine needed major repair, new saddle caps crank and 2 rods.Tony's boat was also delibratly hit championship day by another boat and sustained severe damage, i will do a thread on that..

mikey finished 4th in his class next year we will build mikey a new hull as this one is too short. but he had a ball.

Will check in from time to time..

Sorry to hear about the health problems Tony. I had noticed you hadn't posted but I don't post nearly as much as I used to. It's good to hear you are getting the treatment you need and positive results.
