Towing

Postby us7race » Mon Mar 08, 2010 10:25 pm

Hey Guys I finally got to use my Diesel for some light towing this weekend.
I pulled my uncle's truck to the track for some testing, and the truck pulls
the trailer so easily I cannot believe it. Set the cruise at 60 and let it do it's
job. No drop in MPH or even drop in gear just pull along like it wasn't back there.
Had to post it, I am a diesel fan now!! \:D/ \:D/

I wouldn't own anything but... My 08' Chevy is the second I've owned. What's nice is unloaded I've gotten as high as 21 mpg on the highway. Right now my averages are 17.5-19 on the highway and 13.5-14.5 in town. This is a crew cab 1 ton dually too.........Got 12-13 towing my dragster back from NC last year.......

Good to hear you got it straightened out. \:D/ \:D/ You might as well run empty with Willy's truck on a open trailer behind your truck ;-) Those trucks are impressive. I have been batting the idea of getting one after driving my friends turbo diesel to Memphis. :-k :-k
