Shifter Solonoid

Postby PSweeney » Fri Mar 05, 2010 10:25 am

Picked up a Biondo solonoid, nice bit of kit but it's big..in fact it's gonna be too big to go behind my shifter. My shifters a B&M 2 speed mounted up on the top rail. Directly behind it is the front cage hoop and that leaves no room for the solonoid.

Been thinking I could have the solonoid act on the shift lever down on the box instead. Only concern I have is the strength of the cable to cock the solonoid into low gear using the shifter.

Anybody got any views on this ?

Hi Sam, cheers for clarifying that. I think I'm gonna take out the tube between my legs and mount the shifter off the driveshaft loop sheild, should be plenty of room then.

ps. I've still got your spacers I borrowed to drop round, I'll drop you a text one night this week to swing by.
