**Weekly Winner** WCHRA 2010 Championship!

Congratulations to Jerry Hops (aka intocars on MSV), the new WCHRA 2010 champ! Jerry was "pretty sure" that he had won it when we posted his last win but the fat lady hadn't sung yet so we waited until the end of season to post the "Official" results. Way to go Jer Dog! Another winner here on MotorsporsVillage.com!

**Weekly Winner** August 14/15, 2010

intocars, aka, Jerry Hopps headed to Speedworld race track in Arizona last weekend to run the WCHRA points race there in a continued quest for the Sportsman championship. This was a double points race and Jerry went into that race with a 129 points lead.

Jerry qualified #1 with a .002 light out of 19 cars and got $50.00 and 20 points for that. Second place car in the points standing was a no show?

Jerry says "In the first round I had a bye run. In the second round the other guy red lit then up until the final everyone broke out against me. In the final I had to run a bike. He left first and I ran him down and passed him right about the 1,000ft mark so I won that final round running a 9.02 @ 133.65 on a 8.91 dial and was on the brakes."

On another note, at this point in the season Jerry says that he has a 300 point lead and is pretty sure that he will win this championship. More to come on that one after the last race!

**Weekly Winner** March 27/28, 2010

Jerry Hops, aka, intocars on our forum is the first winner of the 2010 season. Jerdog, as he is know by his friends won at the West Coast Spring Nationals at Famoso Raceway outside Bakersfield, Ca. on March 27/28, 2010.

Jerdog qualified (on reaction times) 21st out of 52 cars in Sportsman (non electronics) class driving his 540 BBC powered 67 Camaro and waded thru the field, winning the final round on a double red light. Since he was the quicker car, when the other driver left first and red lighted that automatically handed Jerdog the win.

Jer says that he was "fender racing" most of the rounds and that "After 4 quarter finals, 2 semis, 2 runner ups and 1 championship.. he got his first win ever"!!!!! He also says that "the first one is the best!!" I'll also note that Jerdog won that PSCA B1 championship in 2008.
