My '66 Chevy truck

These are a few pics of my truck. The pics of it at the track are from about 8 or 9 yrs ago when I was running a 377 in it. It has since seen a few different combos in it and now has a pump gas 434 sbc in it. I've only made a few runs with it and, so far, it has ran some 7.20s @ around 93 in the 1/8 on pump gas @ 4000 lbs. I'm hoping for some 7.00s- 6.90s with some tuning and a dominator that I just got. I've also got an NX plate system on it that should help it get down pretty far in the 6s.

great looking truck!!! Mine was a step side with a 327 and air conditioning and 3 in the tree Of course it couldn't do what yours can do.

Well at two tons that thing gives a whole new meaning to the term "Heavy Chevy", hey! Man, and I thought the Studebaker was a sled at 3500?

ant1277, the application for the color is '86 Corvette Yellow. I don't remember the code, though.
Ken, you're right. It would be a good bit quicker if I could shed some weight. The problem is that I've already eliminated the easy and inexpensive things and it still weighs right at 4000 lbs. It would cost a good deal to shed additional weight from here and I've just come to accept the fact that it is what it is, and if I get serious about going faster, I'll build an S-10 or something equally as light. That doesn't mean that I'm not going to try to shave a few more tenths off of it's time, though.

Yeah my 55 Studebaker first turned into a dragster then that dragster turned into a 2400 lb Camaro, which is the one in my sig. There's just nothing quite like the adrenaline "rush" a 1.10 60ft time (dragster) will give ya! To me it's the most fun I ever had, with my cloths on!

So do ya still have the stock trailing arm rear suspension under that thing? I can't imagine that stocker rear end holding that kind of power?

Ken, it still has the factory trailing arm setup with the factory 12-bolt underneath it, although everything has been worked on to some extent. I haven't done anything to the trailing arms themselves, other than replace the bushings in them, but I added a spool, 4.88s, 30-spline Moser axles, and an LPW braced cover to the rear end. So far, all I have broken is a ring and pinion, so I guess that's not too much carnage.
